How to take care of the carpet

Maintenance and washing Instructions:


Cleaning:

A hand sweeper or a carpet sweeper is recommended for cleaning the carpet. Never use an electrical vacuum cleaner with a great suction power or a sweeper with a cogwheel brush.


Sunlight:

Never left the carpet exposed to the intense sunlight, in order to prevent violent light, you can use thick curtains or drapes.


Rubbing:

You should change the position of the carpet in such a way that all parts of it are walked upon and rubbed by foot equally. If you have to fit some parts of the carpet under the door, it should be set up carefully not to be in contact with the carpet.


The movement of the carpet:

Carpets sometimes move on the stoned floors, mosaics, and marbles while walking on them. To prevent this movement, you can use spongy or sponge-like linings or networks of soft p.v.c. these linings should be smaller in size than the carpet itself.


Clearing various stains:

A gum stain should be first stiffed by a piece of ice. Then you can carefully get it out of the surface of the carpet by a small knife.
Candle stains are removed in the same way as the gum stain are.
Mix an ink stain with some yogurt, and then pick it up. Follow this procedure several times so that the ink is completely taken in by yogurt.
Fruit juice, tea, milk, chocolate, and coffee stains are cleaned by some tepid water and soap or shampoo.
Sweet liquids (sugary tea, syrups ?¢â‚¬?¦) speed the decay of the carpet. Remove these stains as quickly as possible.
To remove the marks of oil, fat, and polishing materials, you can apply soap and acetic acid and neutral cleaners.
Blood and egg stains are cleared by salt solutions, soap, Acetic acid and tepid water.
Gather the spilt oil by a spoon. Put a piece of white of cloth on the polluted place, and press it with a rather hot iron,( the iron should not be too hot ).
The oil within the carpet would be absorbed by the white cloth.

In order to clean off soot stains on dark carpets, spill some salt on it. After one and half an hour, clean it with an electrical vacuum cleaner.
Washing the carpet:

It is recommended to get an efficient and reliable firm to wash your carpets. Before washing, the dust and soil should be removed. Also special cleaners and shampoos should be used.
Drying:

Spread the carpet on the special scaffoldings exposed to the mild sunlight so that the air can move freely around it.
Avoid hanging the carpet or spreading it an the grass being exposed to intense and hot sunlight. Direct heat like the heat radiated by heaters and radiators may help the damage of the carpet.
In order to dry the wetness of a part of the carpet , use a sponge, tower , or, cotton cloth to suck out the water and then dry both the back and the surface of that part of the carpet by mild sunlight or by means of a hair-drier. ( of course, care should be taken to have a heat).
